Waldo's scientific name is Nasua narica. He will take long naps in his hammock, but he also enjoys searching and digging for mealworms the keepers hide around the enclosure. Waldo also likes eating raw eggs and vanilla pudding cups.
Both Waldo and Sophie love perfumes and colognes! The zookeepers will give them paper with scents sprayed on them, and they will rub the scents onto their tails.
Both Sophie and Waldo can climb down a tree face first! Coatis are “double jointed,” so they can rotate their ankles 180°.
